"Entrusted Tones" is a collection of mostly original songs that tap deep into the roots of the Appalachian Mountains. Kenny inherited these sounds from his ancestors. His great grandfather, Shadrack Johnson, and His great, great, great grandfather, Fiddler Shade Slone, flank him on the album cover. And, if you’ll look closely, you’ll see his grandpa on the porch. As Kenny says, “This sound came out of their souls into mine. I hope it finds its way into yours.”
The lyrics will have you sad and wistful one moment, then hopeful and laughing the next. The long time “friends” that join in on the record are all world-class musicians, and leave no string unplucked! If you’re not familiar with mountain bluegrass music, buy this record.
